I created this model in university, I was challenged with the task to create a weapon in under an hour, this is the result of that task. I made the model in 3Ds Max, exported that into substance painter and textured it in there I think I did well in this project considering it was the first time I used Substance Painter I was able to quickly learn the basics and then produce a good looking texture.
I quickly found this reference online, I really liked the way this flail looked. I thought it had a lot of character and I wanted to create it. The only thing I didn't like with this flail was the squared end, in my opinion this made it look a bit strange and not as appealing. I knew I could work around this though.
